There is a community health center

that has been providing much needed health care

for poor people around Boise many years.

It was started by two physicians,

Terry Reilly and Bob LeBow.

Over the years they have provide health services

for a lot of poor people.

Terry Reilly died several years ago

and then Bob LeBow who was avid bike rider,

was killed while riding his bike.

Every year there is a bicycle tour in his honor.

It is to remember his contribution to biking

and to raise money for the clinics.

There are many tour routes for different levels of bicyclists.

The strong riders travel 100 miles,

others routes were 65 miles, 30 miles, 10 miles,

and 3 miles for little kids or beginners.

After the tour there was a big Bar-Be-Que party.

There were several “Aid station” along the way.

The Aid station provided fruits,

fluids and medical care for the riders who needed it.

Daddy and I were volunteers for this tour.

We helped with the first Aid station

and helped the tour participants get started.

Later I went to a new pet store Grand opening

at a new location beside Meridian branch.

It is named Petsmart.

I signed up to be a member of the store.

In the evening we went to have dinner

with Daddy’s friend at a new Vietnamese restaurant.

We were served  on the side walk table.

It was so fun watching all the people walk by downtown.

The new restaurant opened next door

to a Thai restaurant that we know well.

While we were eating

the owner of the Thai restaurant saw us,

he wondered why we were not

eating at his restaurant.

We laught and told him

we ate at his restaurant last week.

There is a man who lives near us

who owns a limousine service.

He looks and dresses like the

Rock star named Rod Stewart.

We saw him.

He was driving a couple who sit next to us.

He always dresses very loud

and draws pretty much attention.

Overall it was a very good day, a fun evening

but  the Vietnamese restaurant was not all that good.

The best part of the restaurant was the fresh

vegetables that reminded me of home.
